A white sash draped over the Jacaranda tree beside the football field at UQ was the location for Alison and Sean's very personable wedding ceremony. Strapping on the foot ballboots on your wedding day would sound insane to some couples but not to Alison and Sean. Getting married next to the football field at UQ where they play was logical. It’s common interests that bring couples together and this is so true for this couple, their love for sports was apparent in everything they did. After kicking the ball around we headed to Kangaroo Point cliffs for a couple of photos it was only a short distance away from where Sean proposed, it wasn't his ultimate plan he originally wanted to do it at the lookout but Alison in high heels was not having a bar of walking any further so he was left with no option to do it where they stood. She realised after why he want to go to the lookout.
Their reception was down the bottom of the cliffs at Brisbane River Life a marquee setup overlooking the river and Brisbane City. I have documented a few weddings here and have to say how relaxed a feel it has and the service is outstanding and it commands a not bad of a view either. This very sports orientated family were most upset to find out even with the most meticulous planning the NRL grand final was on the same night. The MC kept everyone updated with scores through out the evening. During the speeches there were plenty of jibes and snide remarks in reference to who was going to win. It culminated to the fact Alison a Cowboys fan and Sean a Broncos fan, their teams going head to head on their wedding day.
I hope you enjoy a sneak peek from Alison and Sean's Brisbane River Life wedding.
