Branell Homestead Wedding with Anna and Joel

This little one totally stole the show on the weekend out at Branell Homestead for her parents wedding. I know most weddings focus on the couple, but that day it was about a family that already existed.

Here is a bit about Anna and Joel and their wedding day at Branell Homestead

Joel and I met through old mutual friends. The first thing I noticed about Joel was his smile, he was so carefree and easy going (Anna) (Joel) when I first saw Anna I saw someone carefree and full of life, she was the energy in the room, and I wanted to be around it.

It was Mothers Day 2014, I was 5 months pregnant. He was so excited, he woke me up at 6am. He handed me a card and as I read it I looked up at him. I just kept thinking this can't be true but there he was kneeling next to me with a ring in a box asking me to Marry him. I already knew I was going to spend my life with him so it didn't matter how he proposed; it was still just as special as I was already carrying his child.

We got married at Branell Homestead in Laidley. Both the ceremony and reception were there. We chose Branell Homestead because of its quiet and stillness. I grew up in a small country town so, Branell Homestead gave that homely feeling. We are both very down to earth and easy going people so it suited us perfectly.

Jane K Payne was our marriage celebrant. When we first met with Jane we knew she would be the right fit. She was confident, strong and intelligent. She knew what she was doing and she made everything seem easy. We literally didn't have to do anything and that is one of main things we wanted in a celebrant. We wanted someone we could trust and would help guide us.

We wanted a country/rustic wedding that was laid back and easy going. A wedding where people could come together and feel comfortable to celebrate.

I purchased my dress from Whitelily Couture. It is a Morilee dress by Madeline Gardner. I went through a huge variety of dresses and different styles. I initially wanted a lace fit bodice but turns out it wasn't the right style for me. I decided to change the style and opted for the Edwina dress. I instantly felt like a bride and had tears spring to my eyes. It was perfect:

Any special or memorable moments

Our daughter being her cheeky self getting up amongst my wedding dress during the ceremony. And just being able to capture beautiful memories with our nearest and dearest.

Any advice for future couples

Don't sweat the small stuff, there is always time to work on things and make sure you take time out during the day/night to reflect and enjoy it.
