Sebastian and I met through mutual friends, Both of them Tatjana and Scott are now married and were part of our wedding party.
The first thing we both noticed was how easy our friendship came, we were friends for a long time before we started dating and it was each of us were easily one of the others greatest friends.
Sebastians proposal was pretty traditional. He asked permission from Dad earlier that day (10th June 2016) and spent the next 6 hours stressing. We had a nice quiet fish n chips dinner on the Pumicestone passage. Once we had finished dinner I went to get up and he only got up as far as to be on one knee, he took my hands and asked me to marry him. It was exactly how I would of wanted it to be, nothing to over the top, very personal and intimate.
In planning your wedding at Clear Mountain Lodge
My dress was from White Lily Couture in Milton, Brisbane. The lace and the train, as soon as I tried it on I was in love. A big tick was also the fact it was not white/ivory. The champagne underlay sold me, it was different and I loved it.
Our ceremony and reception was also at Clear Mountain Lodge and we chose it because of how amazing the view was and the fact that we were able to have an outdoor ceremony and canapés but an indoor reception. We loved how our guests could make a weekend out of it and stay at the lodge. How chilled and easy going the staff were even from our first meeting.
Was there any unique or funny moments that stood out in your mind about the day?
We were both at the peak of our Flu.
Any advice for future couples?
To embrace the journey and just remember it's your day, be selfish in every way.
